Abstract

The insulation fault of switch cabinet can be effectively found by partial discharge (PD) detection technology to ensure the reliable operation of equipment. In this paper a case of mixed discharge defects of isolating switch cabinet was introduced, which was discovered by using ultrasonic and UHF partial discharge combined detection technology. The defect causes verify the validity of the partial discharge test results and some suggestions for repair and maintenance were put forward.
