The upper band of 5.12GHz-5.93GHz is decided by the vertical strip. Abstract

A compact and simple printed monopole antenna which can be used for WLAN/WiMAX and 5G applications is presented in this paper. Compared with many other similar works presented before, a simpler structure is used in this antenna which consists of a rectangular loop, a vertical strip and aT-shaped strip inside the loop, microstrip feed line and ground plane.
