Abaqus ver.6.12.1 has been used to simulate flexible pavement under different loading and thermal conditions. Abstract

Rutting (permanent deformation) is one of the most common and serious kinds of damage to flexible pavement, particularly in countries with high summer temperatures. Rutting also occurs when there is a lot of traffic and the use of poor materials. Pavement engineering is greatly influenced by the use of materials such as asphalt and cement in modern times.
