Abstract
According to statistics from different entities, in Peru, anorexia and bulimia are the most frequent diagnosed eating disorders (ED) every year. Therefore, this study proposes a technological model based on Internet of Things for the control and monitoring of patients with anorexia. This model will allow the control and monitoring through IoT devices that will collect patient data associated to mental, physical and nutritional health. This will allow specialists to have greater availability of patient data that on traditional methods is handled through a diary written by the patient, who does not always comply with the daily registration of these. In addition, the model provides data processing in order to give recommendations and alerts to the doctor based on the patient's data. Likewise, the study has been validated with specialists, who participated by comparing the availability, satisfaction and effectiveness of monitoring before and after using the technological model. As a result, the study shows that with the implementation of the technological model, the efficacy of the control and monitoring process increased by 52%.
