Abstract
Constraint satisfaction techniques are integrated into CBR in order to develop a more efficient adaptation mechanism. According to the characteristic of auto-body inner packaging, based on the nearest neighborhood method for case retrieval, the object-oriented case presentation models of auto-body inner packaging are presented by adding index and solution object into the extended object model. Adaptation knowledge is represented as evaluation rules and constraints. The strategies for case adaptation, combining parameter substitution with constrain satisfaction, are presented to modify case solution to fit the current problem definition.
