ABSTRACT Chronic hyperglycemia and various metabolic disorders caused by unbalanced hormones can then cause chronic complications that occur in blood vessels, damage to the eyes, impaired kidney performance, and damage to the basement membrane (Phitri & Widiyaningsih, 2013).
