Abstract

We proposed to use a wideband multicarrier phase coded signal (MCPC) and orthogonal subcarrier multiplexing for vertical sounding. Approach involved phase coding by the Barker pseudorandom sequence and compression of partial signals in the time domain. The models of such spread spectrum signals were studied and methods for their processing at the reception were developed. Algorithms are adapted to the devices based on SDR technology. Their software implementation was verified with the use of USRP - 210 hardware platform in laboratory experiments.
