Abstract
The objective of this note is to explain why liberalism fails almost everywhere. The rise of populism has no specific ideological sign, so that the populist stamp refers to the idea of authoritarian, centralizing governments, opposed to commercial globalization, enemies of the open separation of powers, and certainly intolerant of criticism. To bring out some causes is imperative if this populist rise is to be reversed.
