Abstract
The large-scale adoption of renewable energy throughout the world is only increasing. In terms of economic efficiency, large photovoltaic (PV) installations are only slightly inferior wind power plants, which makes solar energy an attractive energy resource, not only for the construction of solar power stations, but also for installing solar panels in households. In this paper, the authors address the urgent problem of clean solar energy. This paper presents the results of a study of the selection of an engine, an electric drive for it and the software environment of an autonomous and reliable device for cleaning solar panels. The main advantages and disadvantages of solar panel cleaning systems are considered. A system characterized by low power consumption and the absence of the possibility of panel shading, was ultimately designed. To date, a sample has been assembled that can clean the SDM-50 panel from snow, dirt, sand and other contaminants.
