Abstract

This paper addresses some major problems in steel plant power systems such as voltage fluctuations and flicker, load unbalance, current harmonics and reactive power and demonstrates the significance of reactive power management for steel plants power system. Two One-Cycle Control techniques for Hexagram Converter based STATCOM are presented.
