Black Hole: una apertura transcorporal / Black Hole: a transcorporal openness

Abstract

Partiendo de la identidad de género como algo restrictivo, y asimismo, irreductible a un único discurso, nos aproximaremos al cuerpo desde una perspectiva parecida. Si nos acercamos a la consideración de este en las aproximaciones recientes hechas desde el ámbito académico nos encontramos generalmente con que las fronteras físicas de nuestros cuerpos que antaño nos reducían a una unidad coherente, limitada y hermética, se han visto impugnadas por su dudosa consistencia y que, de ese modo, nuestro cuerpo se ha ido revelando cada vez más permeable y penetrable, abierto a relaciones y afectos. Resiguiendo este cambio de paradigma, nuestra intención es ver cómo estas consideraciones han sido pensadas en algunas producciones culturales, centrándonos en las representaciones corporales de la novela gráfica Black Hole (Burns, 2005). Por ello, analizaremos fundamentalmente, la enfermedad que afecta a dichos cuerpos, centrándonos, en primer lugar, en sus formas de contagio. En nuestro desarrollo teórico dialogaremos con los conceptos de erotismo (G. Bataille) y transcorporalidad (M. Segarra) para estudiar cómo el contacto que implica el contagio desmiente la idea de un cuerpo unitario y hermético. En segundo lugar, analizaremos algunas de las mutaciones de tal enfermedad, sosteniendo la idea que éstas contribuyen a reterritorializar el cuerpo reescribiendo su tradicional mapa de lectura, mediante la aparición o pérdida de nuevos órganos, contrastando este proceso con la idea del cuerpo sin órganos (G. Deleuze y F. Guattari). Finalmente, confirmaremos la hipótesis que con estas ideas hemos tratado de desarrollar: que la enfermedad que afecta a dichos cuerpos funciona produciendo una nueva narración no sólo de sus fronteras, sino también de las funciones atribuidas a sus miembros, desestabilizando así su construcción de género y apuntando a un horizonte transcorporal.Palabras clave: Cuerpo, transcorporalidad, erotismo, novela gráfica, Black Hole.Abstract:Considering gendered identity as something restrictive, and consequently, hardly reducible to a unique discourse, we will approach the body with a similar perspective. If we move toward to the recent analysis made from the academia we will find out an extended consideration on its physical boundaries: those which once reduced us to a coherent, limited and hermetic unity have been refuted for their suspicious consistence, and, that way, our bodies have been getting each time more permeable, penetrable and opened to relations and affects. Following this change of paradigm, our intention is to see how these considerations have been thought in some cultural productions, focusing on the corporal representations of the graphic novel Black Hole (Burns, 2005). Therefore, we will analize basically the illness that affects these bodies, bringing into focus, in first place, their ways of contagion. Througout our developement we will dialogue with concepts such erotism (G. Bataille) and transcorporality (M.Segarra), with the objective of studying how the contact which implies the contagion denies the idea of a unitary and hermetic body. In second place, we will analize some of the mutations resulting from this illness, arguing that they contribute to reterritorialize the body by rewritting the map with whom we read it, by the appearance or loss of organs, contrasting this process with the concept of the body without organs (G. Deleuze and F. Guattari). Finally, we will confirm our hypotesis that we had been trying to develop all along the text: that the illness that affects these bodies works producing a new narration not only of their boundaries but also of the functions atributed to its members, destabilizing both their gendered construction and pointing to a transcorporal horizon.Keywords: Body, transcorporality, erotism, graphic novel, Black Hole.
