Abstract

We discuss 2-dimensional optical circuits composed of photonic crystal structure and slab waveguides. We show some numerical results to reduce the scattered energy. The number of dielectric rods of photonic crystal waveguide is changed, in order to find the minimum number of dielectric rods for photonic bandgap structure.
