Abstract

The design and simulation of bridgeless modified Single Ended Primary Inductance Converter (SEPIC) is presented in this paper. This converter is designed by introducing the voltage multiplier technique to the conventional SEPIC converter which provides high static gain, low conduction losses and low switching stresses. This converter combines the operation of diode bridge rectifier and modified SEPIC converter into a single circuit. Both open loop and closed loop simulations are done under steady state and dynamic conditions using MATLAB SIMULINK. Performances of PI and fuzzy tuned PI controllers are evaluated for the designed converter.
