The effective modulation format which will effectively increase the system performance without a change in previous design is presented. The system performance is evaluated on the basis of Quality factor (Q-factor) and Bit Error Rate (BER). The performance of system provides acceptable result with CSRZ modulation with much-reduced BER and increase in Quality Factor (Q-factor). Abstract

High data rates can be achieved using DWDM technology over optical fiber. Optical signals having different frequencies are modulated in DWDM system and then these signals are multiplexed into a single stream of light that is sent over optical fiber cable.
