Water bodies from placer mining sites are characterized by increased total dissolved solids (up to 394 mg/l) and total hardness (average = 2.20 mg-eq/l). Abstract

The hydrochemical characteristics of water objects, including lakes and a number of streams and rivers as well as technogenic sedimentation tanks located in the areas of placer gold mining have been studied.
