Abstract

Computer algebra systems are currently successively used in several areas of engineering, such as VLSI, robotics, non-linear dynamics, or control systems. Recently, there has been a growing interest in the application of the computer algebra systems to control design and analysis. Symbolic computation has been used for modeling, simulation, and synthesis of systems. This paper presents some of the key benefits and applications of symbolic computation techniques from the viewpoint of the symbolic system simulation.
