Over-exposure to loud sound causes irreversible hearing injury1. Galvanized by the World Health Organization’s “Make Listening Safe” initiative2, there is growing momentum behind efforts to develop a global regulatory framework to protect the hearing of audience members in entertainment venues, whilst recognizing and appreciating the profound personal, cultural, and economic benefits of live music.
