Abstract

Pneumatics has played an important role in the development of pneumatic technology for automation. The paper describes a system that uses icons to represent the components of the pneumatic system and CAD techniques to solve component-placing and routine design problems. Pneumatics components can easily be placed, copied and moved with this new CAD system. The software is menu-driven and the drawing and editing is done at the click of a mouse button.
