Determining stress and coping strategies among them will have significant consequences for the nursing career. Aims: to illustrate level of stress and identify coping strategies among nursing students at Damanhour University, Egypt. Research design: A descriptive cross-sectional study was used. Setting: the study was conducted at faculty of nursing, Damanhour University, Egypt. Subjects and methods: A systematic random sampling of 400 nursing students at academic year 2018-2019. Results: Students perceived moderate level of stress, most commonly attributed to transportations and academic. The most frequently used coping mechanism was religious and acceptance. The study found that gender and living with family are good predictors of coping strategies. Conclusion: The nursing students were exposed to moderate stress due to different stressors.
