Cued click authentication

Abstract

Textual passwords are used worldwide due to its easy implementation and less time required for authentication. But these passwords are vulnerable to dictionary attack, brute force attack, man in middle attack, etc. It is also highly prone to keylogging and shoulder surfing attack. Hence new authentication systems such as biometric based and token based system were introduced. But they have their own shortcomings such as difficulty in use and time consuming. In this paper, we aim to make a system robust to shoulder surfing attack and keylogging attack by using an improved text-based graphical password scheme which uses Persuasive Technology.
