Abstract

Photoconductive antenna (PCA) is considered to be fundamental and compact source for the terahertz (THz) generation. Photoconductive antennas are used for emission and detection of THz using pulsed laser. CST simulation software is used for design and simulation of the design. Bow-tie antenna mounted on substrate of dimension 100×100×1.6 m3. LT-GaAs material is consider as a substrate. The maximum gain obtained 2.22 dB and return loss of −33.96 dB are achieved at 1.64 THz.
