The controller is robust for variation in load and damps the oscillation in the power system. Abstract

Electro-mechanical oscillations of very small magnitude exist in power system and often persist for long periods of time and restrict the power transfer capacity. These oscillations can further increase with the variation in load if the controller is not properly designed. Robust decentralized controllers are used to enhance the transient stability of non-linear power systems. This paper discusses the methodology for designing non-linear controller for power system using Synergetic Control Theory.
