Abstract

The optimal design of amplifier circuits is a difficult task in the measure where it is necessary to determine the values of the components that provide to these circuits the best performances. In this article, we present an application of the Genetic Algorithm (GA) for the optimal sizing of three-stage bipolar transistor amplifier. The performances, namely voltage gain (Av), input impedance (Zin), output impedance (Zout) and the low cutoff frequency (FL) are optimized. The components values are chosen from several standard industrial series (E12, E24, E48, E96 and E192). PSPICE simulation is used to validate the obtained results/performances.
