A rough estimation of the multiplication coefficient in the liquid phase can be made from studies in compressed hydrocarbonous gases and liquids. The length of the ionization region and the corresponding critical electrical field can be deduced. Abstract
The regular pulse regime observed in liquid cyclohexane and propane is shown to correspond to electron multiplication in the liquid phase.
