Abstract

The paper outlines a concept of reducing economic losses resulting from damage in power grids when predicting future repair and renovation works. Increased economic losses caused by electric energy undersupply and the cost of emergency operations result in a steady increase in the unit cost of electric energy. The authors present an algorithm of the effective optimization of repair works carried out in power grids with a voltage of 6–10 kV. The main idea of the proposed algorithm is to introduce a multi-criteria evaluation system, which, in some respects, can be quite promising when applied in power grids of the Russian Federation. Based on the assessment made, the authors have worked out a phased repair plan of the most important and damageable power grid nodes, the failures of which may lead to considerable economic losses.
