Abstract

Electronic absorption spectroscopy was applied for studying the reaction of uranium(IV) chloride with oxygen in alkali chloride based melts. The experiments were performed at 450–750 °C in the melts based on LiCl–KCl, NaCl– CsCl and NaCl–KCl–CsCl eutectic mixtures.
