Abstract

Digital watermarking based on biometric identification is a novel Information hiding technology. The paper presents a 3-level RDWT biometric watermarking algorithm to embed fingerprints minutiae data in a color face image of the same individual for increased information hiding robustness, security and accuracy. The hidden minutiae data can be extracted accurately from the carrier image using a secret key. Result shows that the proposed RDWT watermarking algorithm is robust to different attacks, and can provide the multimodal biometric verification accuracy of 94%.
