Abstract

Attendance checking can be tedious as there are hundreds or even thousands of students to be checked every day whether they attend class or not and instances where checking attendances manually just makes it worse. This design aims to create a method of checking the attendances of students without the use of the traditional pen and paper method. The design made use of the RFID tags within the school ID of the students, Raspberry Pi as the processing unit of the system, and an android application that operates the entire system.
