Abstract

This paper introduces the development works of low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) for tracking and data relay satellite (TDRS) phased array antenna system. The evolution of the LTCC technology is presented. And several examples including passive and hybrid integrated devices are demonstrated which could be used for phased array antenna system. For the space environment, the challenges and issues of the LTCC for the satellites application are also presented.
