Abstract

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) spreads across the globe rapidly and causes deaths every day. Many Countries have made home quarantine or stay-at-home compulsory to control its spreading. Tracking of the quarantined subjects is raising serious concerns. With the number of COVID patients escalating each day, timely detection is vital. The simplest and easiest way to monitor the quarantined patients is to provide them with a wearable device which makes them more compliant towards the rules/restrictions. In this paper, a prototype for a wearable band is proposed which aims to track the movement of COVID patients. The wearable band is IoT enabled and connected to the cloud to store the real-time location of the COVID patient. The data of the real-time location of COVID patients can be further used to provide safety instructions to other people.
