Abstract

Dengue is a mosquito-borne infection and is considereda global pandemic in low-income countries. The papayaleaf extract of Carica papaya has therapeutic propertiesassociated with increasing platelet count, inhibiting viralreplication, decreasing inflammation, and anticanceraiding in the early recovery of patients. It is also easilyaccessible and inexpensive in Southeast Asia. Noadverse events have been reported, and the medicinalnature of papaya leaf extract makes it an advantageoustool against the Dengue pandemic.
