REVIEW: AKTIVITAS IMUNOMODULATOR EKSTRAK HERBA MENIRAN (Phyllanthus niruri L.)

Abstract

ABSTRACTForeign objects that enter the body molecularly or cellular can cause various kinds of harmful diseases, so we need compounds that can increase the defense or immune system to recognize foreign objects or abnormal cells that harm our bodies. Immunomodulator is compounds that can improve immune system function in humans. The function of immunodulator is to improve the body's immune system by restoring immune system function. Herbs meniran (Phyllanthus niruri) is a potential medicinal plant that has the potential to be used as an immunomodulator. The immunomodulatory activity of meniran plants is obtained from the content of flavonoid compounds. The purpose of this review article is to see the immunomodulatory potential of the herb meniran. This review article was prepared using the literature study method from a collection of national journals and international journals. The various studies that have been obtained show that meniran herb extracts have the potential to increase natural body immunity because they have compounds that play a role, namely flavonoid compounds such as quercetin, quercitrin, isokuersitrin, astragalin, and routine that function as immunomodulator.Keywords: Immunomodulatory, Phyllanthus niruri, Flavonoids  ABSTRAKBenda asing yang masuk kedalam tubuh secara molekuler atau selular dapat menimbulkan berbagai macam penyakit yang merugikan, sehingga diperlukan senyawa yang dapat meningkatkan sistem pertahanan atau kekebalan tubuh untuk mengenali benda-benda asing atau sel abnomal yang merugikan tubuh kita. Imunomodulator adalah suatu senyawa yang dapat meningkatkan fungsi sistem imun pada manusia. Fungsi dari imunodulator adalah untuk memperbaiki sistem imun tubuh dengan cara mengembalikan fungsi sistem imun. Herba meniran (Phyllanthus niruri) merupakan tanaman obat potensial yang memiliki potensi dimanfaatkan sebgai imunomodulator. Aktivitas imunomodulator dari tanaman meniran diperoleh dari kandungan senyawa flavonoid. Tujuan artikel review ini dilakukan untuk melihat potensi imunomodulator dari herba meniran. Review artikel ini dibuat dengan metode studi literatur dari kumpulan jurnal-jurnal nasional maupun jurnal internasional. Berbagai penelitian yang telah diperoleh menunjukan bahwa ektrsk herba meniran memiliki potensi sebgai peningkat imunitas tubuh alami karena memiliki senyawa yang berperan yaitu senyawa flavonoid seperti kuersetin, kuersitrin, isokuersitrin, astragalin, dan rutin yang berfungsi sebagai imunomodulator.Kata Kunci: Imunomodulator, Phyllanthus niruri, Flavonoid
