Abstract
In exploring the possibilities for a new form of general jurisprudence which can underpin law as a cosmopolitan discipline, questions arise as to the feasibility and desirability of generalisations about law ‐ whether these be analytical, normative, empirical or legal in nature. Such questions are relevant both to legal scholarship and legal education.
