Abstract
An efficient spectral domain method to obtain the spectral dyadic Green's function of multilayer planar structure containing an arbitrarily biased magnetic layer is developed. This method, namely the spectral domain transverse operator method, is used to formulate numerically the electromagnetic field inside each layer. The computed Green's function for an open microstrip line with magnetic substrate is compared to previously published results and excellent agreement is achieved. The Galerkin method is applied in the spectral domain to carry out the dispersion characteristics of microstrip line on magnetic substrate. Numerical results are obtained effectively and compared with previous published works.
