Abstract
Electricity accounts for a relatively high proportion of energy consumption, and its consumption is increasing year by year with the rapid development of the economy. Fujian’s electric power is dominated by coal-based thermal power, which results in a large proportion of Fujian’s total carbon emissions in the province’s total carbon emissions. Based on power-related data from 2000 to 2017, this paper uses Logarithmic mean Divisia index (LMDI) to analyze emission factors, energy structure, economic scale, transmission and distribution loss, conversion efficiency, and power intensity for Fujian’s per capita electricity carbon emissions. The results show that in 2000-2017, the economic scale, energy structure, and transmission and distribution loss factors are the main factors for the increase of power carbon emissions. At the same time, the suggestions for energy saving and emission reduction in Fujian Province are proposed.
