To validate the data, a lightning detection system (LDS) which owned by Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) which consisting of 6 sensors in Sabah state is used to retrieve data for lightning activities in Sabah. From the analysis, it found a total number of 117,113 cloud-to-ground (CG) events in radius of 10km from Beaufort district and the pattern shows the distribution of lightning discharges (CG) for three years are increased from year 2020 to 2022. Abstract
