Abstract
Based on the generalized coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equation, the 4-soliton solution is obtained by the Hirota bilinear method. The transmitting characteristics of the 4-soliton solution are discussed in detail. The results show that the elastic collision can be obtained by selecting the parameters reasonably.
