Abstract
The energy crisis is a global issue, apart from global warming, encouraging countries to use renewable energy sources. Likewise, Indonesia, a country with a large population and huge potential for renewable energy sources, has a target of using renewable energy of 23% in the energy mix in 2025 and 31% in 2050. This study compares the predictions of installed capacity and energy mix using simple linear regression and compares it with the energy mix target set by the Government so that the percentage deviation is known. Based on the linear regression method calculation in 2025, the percentage of renewable energy in the energy mix only reaches 13.76%. However, several breakthroughs have been made, including the issuance of several government policies that encourage the achievement of these targets and mandate local governments to realize the potential of their respective regions. Meanwhile, the results of the SLR in 2050 are very close to the energy mix target set by the Government, namely 97.87 percent for installed capacity and 96.88 percent for the capacity of renewable energy sources. It could be because the Government still has enough time to implement the plans that have been drawn up.
