Abstract
The article analyzes the communicative risks in the situation of professional choice. In order to study situations of disproportionate, nonlinear overcoming of information uncertainty in choosing a profession, a comparative analysis of the motives for choosing a place and professional training programs for bachelor of engineering students from two regional universities in Russia and Hungary was carried out.
