Abstract
: Enhanced OFS assisted by micro-drilled optical fibers acting as mirrors are demonstrated. Strain sensitivity improved more than one order of magnitude in comparison with FBG sensors using a 50 μ m-waist micro-drilled taper as distributed reflector.
