Abstract
A novel and simple helix slow-wave structure (SWS) with low gain fluctuation is present. The high frequency characteristics and beam-wave interaction of this structure are calculated. The simulation results show that the gain of the novel helix traveling wave tube (TWT) is more than 58dB at Ka-band. At the same time, the gain fluctuation of the TWT is less than 6.2dB.
