It highlights the criteria and functions of the emotional vocabulary in the text and gives the classification of lexical means of expressing emotions. The authors conducted the quantitative analysis of the selected lexical items according to their type. The authors conclude that stylistically highlighted vocabulary is the most common type of lexical means of expressing emotions in French. Abstract
