Abstract
This paper presents the application of hierarchical vector finite element method (FEM) with second-order basis for modeling slow-wave structures (SWSs) in microwave tubes, and consequently, a robust, fast and efficient multigrid eigensolver (MGES) is developed to simulate the SWSs.
