Using an indirect neighbour discovery method to change the logical topology of the network, several simulated annealing and genetic algorithms for logical topologic design problem in WDM networks have been proposed in our previous researches. In this paper, a tabu search (TS) method to resolve the logical topology design problem is proposed. Abstract

Given a static traffic condition, the motivation of logical topology design in IP over WDM networks is to optimize the network resource utilization and improve network performance.
