At the same time, there is a lack of unequivocal recommendations on the choice of installation locations for a wind turbines. In this regard, there are some difficulties in formulating criteria for choosing the location of installation of wind farms, taking into account not only climatic, but also technical parameters of electric power systems, for example voltage value in the nodes of the electric power system. The paper presents that the installation of wind farms in the nodes of the electric power system can increase their rigidity, thereby contributing to increment of wind farms efficiency. Also, representation method of the load influences the calculation results, which confirms the need of consumer's actual statical characteristics application. Abstract
The question of rational location of wind farms arises due to the growing installed capacity of wind farms as a part of electric power systems.
