Abstract

In this paper, we study the lightning induced transient effects on coaxial cables for ships. The coaxial cables with different grounding and shielding measures are injected with lightning waves according to the US military standard MIL-STD-461G, so that the circuit voltage at the end of the cables can be detected by the oscilloscope. A simply theory analysis is given and simulations are taken to find the influence of such measures. At last, experimental measurements validate the simulation results.
