Abstract

The paper presents a new algorithm for low power implementation of digital filters. The algorithm reduces power consumption through a two phased strategy, which targets reducing the switched capacitance within the multiplier circuit. The first phase involves the segmentation of coefficients into more primitive components which could in turn be processed through a single shift and a more primitive multiplication operations.
