Abstract

In the scope of this study, the main objective is constructing a rapid PLC-to-Cloud prototype which reads data from PLCs and serves them to cloud services. For this purpose, a Raspberry Pi is used as a gateway between a Siemens S7-400 PLC and the Amazon Web Services. The gateway has two main roles: OPC UA client and MQTT publisher.
