Abstract

In this paper two behavioral models for a VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) in Verilog A are presented, the differences between them are due to Kvco waveform. The first VCO model is linear, the second model is non linear because the Kvco was restructured to be exponential, so we can observe the differences on behavior and simulation times, and give a description for Kvco and frequencies on each model. Behavioral models are described and simulated by the tools Spectre® in Virtuoso® Analog Environment.
