Abstract

For handoff in wireless ATM networks, calls are required to be rerouted because ATM is based on connection oriented services. Many rerouting schemes have been reported in the literature. In order to evaluate their performance, some issues are to be identified and accordingly some parameters need to be defined. In this paper we have considered several performance issues and based on these, we have evaluated the performance of five rerouting schemes. Results of our investigation are reported and discussed in this paper.
